Tanghetto is a band from Buenos Aires led by composer and producer Max Masri. Winners of the Latin Grammy for Best Tango Album and two Gardel Awards, they were recently declared of Cultural Interest by the City of Buenos Aires. Pioneers of electrotango, Tanghetto became the first band of this genre to win the Latin Grammy for Best Tango Album. Furthermore, they were the first group to use the term "electrotango" in an album release, helping to define an aesthetic that is now part of contemporary tango. What began as an experimental studio project evolved over time into a band with international reach, taking their innovative vision of tango to stages in more than 35 countries around the world.
